Dinesh offered him a scholarship at Swami Vivekanand International School. He started his cricket journey as an off-spinner who could bat, but his passion for batting and elegant stroke play made him a pure batter. Rohit made his international debut in 2007, but there were a lot of ups and downs in his career. His rise in Indian cricket came when he was asked to open the innings in 2013. There is no looking since then, and he has evolved into a stylish and dependable run scorer.
