As the season changes toward the 18th IPL edition, Shah Rukh Khan, the elated owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has unveiled a fantastic jersey with three stars imprinted on it. He shared a riveting promo on Instagram that gives a glimpse of this new look for the current champions.
The newly released jersey is vividly marked with three golden stars, each representing a title victory for KKR. The stars featured in the commercial on KKR players like Rinku Singh, Manish Pandey, Venkatesh Iyer, Luvnith Sisodia, Mayank Markande, Vaibhav Arora, Ramandeep Singh, and Anukul Roy. All the players were seen donning the striking jersey which has been released with three stars signifying the three trophies they won.
“New season. New look. The three stars on our crest are here. Korbo Lorbo Jeetbo,” Shah Rukh Khan captioned the promo enthusiastically. Aside from the stars, a special Golden IPL badge is also featured on the sleeve of the new Kolkata Knight Riders jersey, indicating the reigning champions for this tournament.
In another significant announcement, KKR management announced Ajinkya Rahane as its new captain with Venkatesh Iyer taking over as vice-captain. The SRK-led team will open its IPL 2025 duties with an exciting clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Kolkata Knight Riders are three-time champions of the IPL, winning the titles in 2012, 2014, and 2024. Their first two trophies came under Gautam Gambhir as captain, while the third was won under him in the capacity of a coach.
With Gambhir, Abhishek Nayar, and Ryan ten Doeschate leaving for respective coaching duties with the national team. Also, Kolkata Knight Riders have handed the coaching responsibility to Chandrakant Pandit, with Bharat Arun as the bowling coach and Dwayne Bravo as a mentor for this New Era.
