Kohli and Pant Scored Fifties in a Tight Win for Delhi

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, we saw many records on December 26. Let’s have a look at what happened on the day of this 50-over tournament. 

Yashvardhan Dalal’s 164 not out off just 135 helped Haryana beat Saurashtra by 6 wickets. Harvik Desai also scored a century (101) for Saurashtra, but that went in vain. 

In Mumbai’s game, we saw three fifties from Sarfaraz Khan (55), Musheer Khan (55), and Hardik Tamore (93*), but Rohit Sharma was dismissed for a first-ball duck. Despite Rohit’s failure, Mumbai registered a comfortable win against Uttarakhand by 51 runs. 

Anmolpreet Singh (105*) and Harnoorn Singh (115*) helped Punjab in their easy win against Chhattisgarh by nine wickets. Punjab bundled Chhattisgarh for just 253 runs. 

Ricky Bhui (76) and Nitish Reddy (55*) led the effort from Andhra to trounce Railways by 6 wickets. 

Half-centuries by Rishabh Pant (70) and Virat Kohli (77) helped Delhi win a close game against Gujarat. It was a very close game, and Delhi won it eventually by 7 runs. Vishal Jayswal (4-42 & 19-ball 26) was the standout performer from Gujarat. 

Aryan Juyal (134) and Rinku Singh (106*) helped Uttar Pradesh reach a massive total to stump Chandigarh. After that, Zeeshan Ansari’s four-fer helped their team get a 227-run victory. 

Dhruv Shorey from Vidarbha also scored a century (109* for 77 balls) to beat Hyderabad by 89 runs. 

Devdutt Padikkal (124) and Karun Nair (130*) also scored centuries on Friday to help their team, Karnataka, win the game against Kerala by 8 wickets. 

Poonam Poonia gave an all-round performance (18-ball 25 & 4-27) for Services in their match against Odisha. But they lost the low-scoring game. 

Rajvardhan Hangargekar’s four wickets helped Maharashtra clinch an 8-wicket win over Sikkim. 

Shubham Singh contributed with 6 for 50 in Jharkhand’s 73 runs victory over Rajasthan. 

Techi Doria also took five wickets as Arunachal beat Mizoram by 35 runs.
