Indian Cricket Team’s Full Schedule In 2026: T20 World Cup To Asian Games

Team India’s 2026 calendar is packed with some world-class events and high-stakes bilateral series. These events include the ICC T20 World Cup, a white-ball series with England, and more. 

These events are designed to test India’s depth across all formats in the game of cricket. One premier event in the Indian players’ calendar is the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is also possible that some legends from Indian cricket could bid farewell to IPL. 

India is also slated to play in the Asian Games this year. Cricket is returning to the Asian Games after a long time. The event will be held in Japan. 

Here is the full schedule of the Indian team in 2026. 

New Zealand Tour of India

India will start their year with a New Zealand limited-overs series. It will feature 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. It will be like a preparation tournament for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in February. 

ODIs:

11 Jan: 1st ODI – Vadodara

14 Jan: 2nd ODI – Rajkot

18 Jan: 3rd ODI – Indore

T20Is:

21 Jan: 1st T20I – Nagpur

23 Jan: 2nd T20I – Raipur

25 Jan: 3rd T20I – Guwahati

28 Jan: 4th T20I – Visakhapatnam

31 Jan: 5th T20I – Thiruvananthapuram

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup (February – March)

The next event is the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in India and Sri Lanka. The premier event will start from 7 February and end on 8 March. India will have the advantage of familiar conditions, and they will be looking to retain their trophy. 

IPL 2026 (March – May)

IPL remains one of the key events in the Indian calendar. After the international duties, Indian stars will feature in the number one T20 league in the world. Everyone will tune in to IPL for more than two months. 

After that IPL, the players will return to their national duties and play a short series with Afghanistan in a one-off Test match and 3 ODIs. 

Following that, India will tour England in July for a high-pressure series of five T20Is and 3 ODIs. 

In August, they are slated to play Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series. It will be an interesting and important series for the World Test Championship standings. 

In September, India will play Bangladesh for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. It is a tour that was postponed earlier due to other commitments. 

From September 19 to October 4, India will participate in the Asian Games in Japan. It will be a T20 competition.
