The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed India’s men’s cricket team’s schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season on Thursday. The senior men’s team is slated to play 22 international matches across 17 venues at home.
These home series will include 5 Tests, 9 ODIs, and 8 T20Is. Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, and Ranchi will be the only cities to host two games in the upcoming season. The rest of the venues will only host one game each.
The home season of the Indian team will start when the West Indies visit them for 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is. The series will start on September 27 in Thiruvananthapuram and will run till October 17.
Lucknow, Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru will host the T20Is, and Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, and New Chandigarh will host the ODIs. In this series, Bengaluru will host a T20I game. It will be their first since October 2024.
Post that, India will host Sri Lanka for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. This series will start from December 13 and finish on December 27. Delhi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad will host the ODI games, and Rajkot, Cuttack, and Pune T20Is.
In January next year, India will welcome Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series. The series will start from January 3 and will be played in Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
The home season of India will conclude with a five-match Test series against Australia. This series will run from January 21 to March 3. Nagpur, Chennai, Guwahati, Ranchi, and Ahmedabad will host the five Test matches.
