Kuldeep Yadav appeared to slap KKR's Rinku Singh

In an unexpected turn of events, Kuldeep Yadav was caught on camera playfully slapping Rinku Singh after the IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday. The quickly leaked footage showed the two standing beside their teammates, exchanging banter. However, being suddenly slapped on playfully caught Rinku off guard, and he looked disturbed, if not angry, before they could talk.

The whole incident lacked the audio to put it into better context, but social media users were not pleased with what they claimed was Kuldeep’s rude behaviour; some even demanded a BCCI ban for him. Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Delhi Capitals by 14 runs, still keeping hopes alive in the playoff race. Batting first, KKR managed to score 204 runs at 9 wickets by a collective team effort.

Their bowlers, led by incredible efforts by Sunil Narine (3/29), restricted the Capitals to 190 at 9 despite good performances by Faf du Plessis (62), Axar Patel (43), and Vipraj Nigam (38).

Actually, what one found in the post-match presentation was Narine pointing out the importance of the team, by saying, “We started middle overs, batting with Anky (Angkrish) and Rinku, while the fact remains that I still back myself to come back and deliver for the team. There are some games that start really well and go on to end in struggle, and there are other games in which you do not begin well but end well.”

He further shared his opinion regarding fielding. “It’s all wickets; it’s not that I enjoy only one wicket. Not the greatest fielder, but it’ll always be good to get a good run-out whenever possible. Just swing and throw the ball as hard as possible.” In the end, he said, it is always better for any captain to have in the kitty such an option, saying, “If you want to be that player, you must do the hard work even when there’s no training.”
