Punjab Kings is the team that comes in the list of lowest score made in IPl. Yet, it has created history in the IPL with a stunning chase of 262 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2024. The match was powered by the blitzing century of Johnny Bairstow (108) and he was brilliantly supported by Prabhsimran Singh (54) and Shashank Singh (68).
Punjab reached this target with an over and 2 balls to spare. Punjab batter mercilessly pummeled KKR bowlers all around the ground. It became the highest run chase in IPL history.
On a memorable night, RR pulled off a remarkable victory in a run chase of 224 against Kings XI Punjab in 2020. This match is remembered for the incredible knock of Rahul Tewatia (53 of just 31 balls). His innings included five sixes in a single over.
Along with Tewatia, Sanju Samson (85) and Steven Smith (50) (one the most handsome cricketers in the world) contributed to the success. Rajasthan pulled off IPL’s highest run chase with three balls to spare.

In a thrilling match against Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians recorded their highest successful run in IPL 2021. CSK posted an intimidating 219-run target for Mumbai to achieve.
In the high-pressure situation, Kieron Pollard stepped up and made 87 runs off just 34 balls to ensure a victory for Mumbai. His innings included eight sixes and six fours. The team won the match on the last delivery.
We have another IPL highest-run chase by Rajasthan Royals. However, this run chase was achieved in 2008, the inaugural edition of the league. Deccan Chargers posted an incredible 214 run total on the back of Andrew Symonds 117 off just 53 balls.

Now, let’s look at the highest chase in IPL history by Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH delivered a masterclass in chasing when they climbed the 217-run mark in 2023 against a formidable opponent, RR.
Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Glenn Phillips, and Heinrich Klassen played the key role in chasing down this target. In the end, Abdul Samad played a blinder (17 off 7) to take SRH home.

We have another 200-plus successful run chase in IPL by Mumbai Indians against Punjab Kings. In the 2023 season, MI showcased their batting prowess by successfully chasing down 214 runs. It was their second-highest chase in IPL.
Ishan Kishan (72 off 41) and Suryakumar Yadav (66 off 31) were instrumental in the success of MI in that match. Tilak Verma also played an important inning of 26 in just 10 balls to secure the victory.
For the past few seasons, SRH has turned out to be one of the most improved teams when it comes to batting. In 2024, they repeated their earlier success, this time against Punjab Kings.
On the back of Abhishek Sharma’s 66 off just 28 balls, SRH scaled down a mammoth target of 215 in IPL. It became their second-highest run chase in IPL.
Delhi Daredevils (Now Delhi Capitals) However, the team is known as one of the most unsuccessful teams of ipl due to its performance. But, it achieved a memorable run chase against Gujarat Lions in 2017. It was back when Sanju Samson was in Delhi. For a target of 209, Delhi started off brilliantly. Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant took them to a blitzing start.
Sanju Samson made an incredible 61 runs in just 31 balls, while Pant made 97 in just 43 balls. After both batsmen got out, Shreyas Iyer and Corey Anderson finished the job. Delhi achieved their highest total chase in the IPL in just 17.3 overs.
On the number 10, we have Mumbai Indians. It is their third appearance on this list. On April 30, 2023, Mumbai did not start well in response to a 213-target set by Rajasthan Royals.
However, Suryakumar Yadav and Tim David had other ideas. Both players came to the crease with the sole intent of hitting the RR bowlers out of the park. Tim David punished the bowlers by hitting 5 sixes and 2 fours in his 14-ball inning of 45 runs.
